I watched 2 minutes of the MTV VMA's tonight and couldn't take it. First off, Kanye West is a douche and good for Taylor Swift. Second, great speech from Madonna about Michael Jackson.
Even though I knew it wasn't going to happen, I just wanted Metallica or Alice in Chains to come out and play some rock music. Imagine the reaction?! Everybody would be scared or confused. VMA's are all about rap and dance. There is no edge in music, I mean come on! I knew Green Day would be there, it's obvious that the once young rebels are now considered aging heart throbs due to "American Idiot."
It's not like I hate the VMAs but it's the same thing every year! Eminem wins awards and trash talks. Kanye West becomes a bigger egotistical prick. Beyonce wins more awards (nothing against Beyonce). Another pathetic pop group gets voted "Best New Artist." Another R&B artist with the same voice as every other R&B star becomes even more famous. Zzzzzzzzzzz...
