Neil Peart has been the drummer of Rush for almost 40 years. He is arguably the BEST drummer in rock music - still is, even at 59 years old. After all these years, Neil still feels the need to refine his drumming ability and develop new techniques. One word: Inspirational.

Bass Effects
After a two month hiatus from playing bass, I strung up my 2002 Squier P-Bass with crisp new strings and jammed to Rush. As soon as I learned "Caravan" and "Animate" (it took many tries), I searched through my closet and found my bass pedals. It's a pretty simple set-up but here are my effects:
Boss Bass Chorus CEB-3: This is the standard chorus pedal from Boss. I love this pedal because you can do so much with it. I don't always use it during the "chorus" of every song I play but including it during soft bridges or even a build up to a pre-chorus or song outro utilizes every element possible.
Dunlop Cry-Baby Bass Wah: Using the Bass Wah is so much fun. This pedal offers a funky sound to the bass, especially when playing the low-end bass frequencies.
